During my holidays in France in 2003 I
spend some time in Toulouse. There I noticed this Jumpy.
It was in use by a public service called "Espaces
Verts", translated: green spaces. This service takes care
of all the public green (plants, trees) in town.
I started of with a normal Peugeot Expert from Solido. First
thing I did was removing the lion from the grille :-)
Then I cut of the roof and sides from the model, as well as the
entire backside. Using styreen (Evergreen) in all different sizes I
transformed the body into a pickup. Problem were the rear
fenders: they are really thin. I solved this by glueing thin
pieces of brass onto the original fender. All the equipment in
the back of the car was made from scrap. The decals were printed
by Fokko (Thanks again, Fokko!!)

Pendant mes vacances en France en 2003 je suis
passé à Toulouse où j’ai vu ce Jumpy. Cette voiture était utilisée
par le service « Espaces Verts » de la ville qui entretient les
parcs et jardins.
Je suis parti d’un Peugeot Expert de Solido. La première chose que
j’ai fait fut d’effacer le lion de la calandre J.
Ensuite j’ai découpé le toit et les flancs de la partie fourgon
ainsi que tout l’arrière. En utilisant des plaques de styrène
(Evergreen) de différentes dimensions j’ai transformé la
carrosserie en pick-up. Le problème est venu des ailes: elles sont
vraiment très étroites. J’ai résolu le problème en collant des
fines pièces en laiton sur les pièces d’origine. Tout
l’aménagement à l’arrière à été créé de toutes pièces.
