My Projects:
CX Tissier Phase II
19-02-2009.
On this page I showed you the
first phase in making a CX Tissier. The next phase is to build the chassis. But first the cabine has to be
closed by a bulkhead.
Look at the picture below. This picture also was taken at the Tissiers
workshop. This picture was kindly given to me by the president of the
Amicale
Automobiles Tissier.

The cabine is closed by welding a firm piece of steel onto it. Let's make
this scene.
I've already done the first phase, so that's easy. Again I start with an
old Solido. The cabine is closed using a piece of styrene from Evergreen.
The sides behind the doors are filled with some pieces of styrene and
filler paste. I've made a template to be sure the body is the same on both
sides.
The hinges of the doors are cut off. The doors are mounted using small
pieces of copperwire.
This time I've used brass for the bars, because they will have to be firm
enough to carry the weight of the chassis.

Here you can see the model before painting.
And here is the result, next to the original picture. But I'm not done
yet, I want to extend this model.
Below you see yet another picture taken from Tissiers workshop. It shows a
CX with chassis. I will use the model above to create this car.

06-08-2009:
The only thing to make is the chassis. I'll be using brass U-beam to make
the chassis. The parts are soldered together.
The axles are aluminium tubes, attached to the chassis using pieces of
styrene. The black round things used to be used to hold Chinese models on to
their pedestals and are now recycled as the things the wheels are mounted
on (what on earth are they called in English??)
